Teachers from Central attended a STEM training at The Science Center of Iowa for 2 days to learn about and use their Making Innovative STEM Connections Grant Kits. They are excited to bring everything back to Central!

The Central Volleyball team will head to Jesup for another Saturday on the courts!
For those that may have missed out on ordering the 2023-2024 Central High School Yearbook, we still have a few copies available. If you are interested, they are $30 each and can be picked up in the district office.
Mrs. Gray's class enjoyed the beautiful weather outside this morning by picking apples and pears from the playground. They plan to use what they picked to make applesauce!
Attention Community Members: We are looking for your help!
We are still looking for community members who would like to come in and lead a breakout lesson/activity for our brand new after school program, Kid Central.
This would be a 1x week commitment for a month (Mondays or Wednesdays - one (1) hour each time). We would pay a small stipend as well as a stipend for needed supplies.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Central will be hosting a live Financial Aid Night TONIGHT - September 10th at 6:00 pm. An ICAN (Iowa College Aid Network) representative will be in the school's Auditorium to talk about the FAFSA application for financial aid, how to pay for college, answering your questions, and helping you understand your next steps.
Good Luck to Central Cross Country Teams at this evening's meet. Warriors will be competing against runners from Clayton Ridge, Beckman Catholic, Central City, Kee High, Maquoketa Valley and MFL MarMac.

Upcoming Warrior Events THIS WEEK!
The Central volleyball team gained a lot of valuable experience today at the Midland tournament, finishing 1-3. The girls showed a lot of hustle and improved throughout the day, losing some very close matches. After a tough morning of pool play, the day ended on a positive note with a strong win against Central City. Keep working hard ladies- great things are ahead!

Having 100+ students out with one common goal... to play football = WARRIOR PRIDE! Thanks to the many parents, siblings and community members that volunteered and jumped in to help Warriors, big and small last night!
Last night Central's new K-3 flag football league met up for the first time. With additional youth teams hosting their practice, it made for quite an exciting time on the field. Also there to help officiate and quarterback these up and coming Warriors were some of Central's high school and junior high football players. It was a phenomenal night to have all K-12 football players together on the same field. Go warriors! The future is looking very bright!

Central Community School District and Central Alumni are pleased to announce this year's Homecoming Hall of Fame Inductee is Mr. Thomas Gifford. Tom was valedictorian of Central's
Graduating Class of 1988 and was highly involved in both academics and athletics throughout his high school career. We will have more information about what Tom has been up to through the years as we get closer to Central Homecoming 2024, which is scheduled for Friday, October 4.
Please help us congratulate Mr. Gifford on this great accomplishment and welcome him as Central's newest inductee!
