These students in the LEAD class (Learners Empowered, Action Driven) showcased outstanding leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities throughout their project with the Central Preschool Teachers. These young women stepped up to the challenge with enthusiasm, applying the skills they've been developing to create something meaningful. They were productive, adapting to challenges as they arose and working together to find solutions. Communication and teamwork were key as they completed the task at hand, all while fostering a sense of empowerment and responsibility. In every step, these girls exhibited the very qualities that LEAD stands for—empowerment through learning and driven action. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and growth. Well done, ladies! You truly embodied what it means to be leaders in action.

The 2nd graders have been enjoying watching the mealworms grow and change. Some are still in the larva stage, some have moved into the pupa stage and some have even entered the adult stage and have become a darkling bettle!

6th grade were practicing an addition of integers card game. Black suits are positive numbers while red cards are negative. Groups had to decide before the round began if they were trying to end the game closest to zero, highest positive number or lowest negative number. The battle was on. However, poor Mrs. Pope did NOT have luck on her side, but enjoyed the game.
