Students in grades 6-12 will be participating in Earth Day service projects in Central communities on Wednesday, April 17 from 1:30-3:30. If you have a project you would like students to help with contact please agritzner@central.k12.ia.us or call the school at 563-245-1750.
Central's JH girls Track & Field team will be traveling to Starmont tomorrow with a start time of 4:00 PM. This is an additional to the original schedule.
The girls track and field team will travel to Starmont on Monday, April 8th for a 4:45 start time. This is a make up from April 4th.
The high school girls track & field meet at Starmont scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.
The boys track & field meet scheduled for tonight at Postville has been postponed to tomorrow night, same start time, 4:30 PM.

Packet Pick up for the Elkader Little League and Town Team will be on Friday from 4:30-6:30 PM in the Central Commons area.
The Central Senior Class is engaged in a “Reality Check” simulation on money management. Students are assigned an identity and must make daily/monthly/annual financial decisions for that character. So far student feedback is very positive!

Life Changes 2 class solved a Break Out Box activity. They helped a 40 year old Steve. At a recent doctor appointment he found out that his recent blood test showed that he is at a high risk for having a heart attack. His Total Cholesterol was 245, his father died of a heart attack at 55 years old and he is overweight by 30 pounds. The teams helped Steve find out what his goal should be for his Total Cholesterol to open the Break Out Box and then navigate the rest of the obstacles to unlock the keys to his long term health and avoid a HEART ATTACK!
The boys track and field meet at Waukon scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.
5A completed their Junior Achievement course with Carrie Taylor today. We enjoyed her lessons and the games we played very much!

In Mrs. Frieden's class students are learning about their body systems.
Art students attended the Northeast Iowa High School Art Show and Competition at Upper Iowa University in Fayette. Awards included 1st Place in Photography, and Honorable Mentions in Painting and Crafts. It was a great seeing all the talent and creativity on display!
5A played a game called "Get the Job" during Junior Achievement today. These 2 Central students were the winners with $2,400!
