Big shout out to the Central Large Group Speech students as well as Mr. Douglas and Mrs. Cobie-Nuss (1st time coaches). I was blown away by our talent and skits. Only one word comes to mind, PRIDE!

My road checking assistant says kids put away the books and backpacks, instead grab a shovel. No school today. Large group speech is still scheduled for this afternoon.

This morning members of the American Legion presented the awards for the fifth grade flag essay. The photo shows the top four in order from left to right.
The basketball games for this evening have been postponed until January 26th. The time is to be determined.
These students in the 7th and 8th grade classes earned a spot to participate in the Central Community School GeoBee which was held on January 16.
Lunch date with 1st grade. Found out they are growing grass and alfalfa in science and learning about a Growth Mindset!
The 5th grade students had to find their mates by only listening for their matching noisemaker sound before the predators got them!

The 8th grade science class watched a speaker demonstration led by a classmate.
The 7th grade science class are conducting experiments on speed and velocity. They had to graph the data collected and calculate speed.
