Very exciting news at Central, for the first time ever we will be having an All Girls Open Wrestling Room this coming Monday, May 27th! We have been having great numbers coming in to our Open Wrestling Room and are looking make it more available to all wrestlers! If you have even the slightest interest in trying wrestling or have any questions, please contact Coach Joe Koehn, or better yet come come over for the Open Wrestling Room at any of the given times:
3:30-4:30 pm Girls Open Wrestling Room PreK-11th
4:30-5:30 pm Open Wrestling Room Technique Session PreK-11
5:30-6:30 pm Advanced Open Wrestling Room Grades 6-11
Coach Koehn plans to do this all throughout the summer! We will be sure to add the upcoming dates and times as well.

Chess Club Championship 2019




We missed one of our retirees at last nights school board meeting, so we surprised her today! Congrats Mrs. Koehn!


JV/V Baseball at Crestwood for tonight has been postponed. Working on a reschedule date.Players will have a shortened practice in the Garnavillo gym at 4.

We are currently still planning on playing softball tonight. In hopes to get the varsity game in, the change is that the varsity game will be played first at 5:30, with the JV game to follow, weather permitting.

Great night honoring all of our retiring employees at tonight’s school board meeting. That is a lot of experience that will be missed!

The Central Girls Track & Field Team is on their way to Drake Stadium for the State Track & Field Meet. We have nine student-athletes competing in seven events - 100m, 400mh, High Jump, Sprint Medley, 4x100, 4x200, Shuttle Hurdle. Good luck girls!


Students in Life Changes 2 enjoyed a tour at MercyOne Elkader Medical Center. They learned about the many career opportunities in a medical facility.
