Reminder that Clayton County BEST students will be picking up pumpkins to compost and feed to local livestock. PUMPKINS WILL BE PICKED UP TODAY AFTER 2:00 PM. Please have your pumpkins or other gourds on the curb for students to get.

On Saturday Central Freshman Hannah Asche competed at the State Cross Country Meet. A cold day on a big stage for a young student-athlete. Hannah rose to the occasion and placed 36th (out of 139) while running the fastest time of her career. Congratulations, Hannah!

FFA students gathered a few weeks back for a hay ride.




Mr. O'Brien and several FFA students from Central are headed to the National FFA convention. On the way they made a stop at the Caterpillar museum in Peoria. Students saw a mining truck with 14 foot tall tires and able to haul 400 tons. Students also saw Jeff Burton's car that he won the Daytona 500 with as well as Buddy Lazier's car that he won the 1996 Indy 500 race with. The crew chief for Lazier was Lee Kunzman from Volga and Guttenberg. Stayed tuned for more updates.

Join us for the Elementary Halloween Parade and CCS Assembly!

Students in 7th grade learned about the importance of empathy during the five sessions presented by Haley from Riverview Center. She also came to the Life Changes two days and presented on Healthy Relationships and Self-Care.
