Mrs. Anstoetter's class is using a classroom economy system this year in 4th grade. Students are paid a salary each month for doing their classroom job and pay rent once a month to use their desk and other spaces in the classroom. Students can earn bonuses for good behavior and following classroom expectations. Students can also receive fines for things such as not following classroom expectations, a messy desk, missed assignments, etc. Students are paying their first month of rent to our classroom bankers in these photos.

Matt Whittle and Tom Whittle built and replaced old flower beds at our Central preschool. They filled them with soil and compost. The compost came from last school year’s food waste from the cafeteria. They also hauled multiple truck loads of soil to the school garden. The soil was generously donated by Moyna Materials. Volga City lumber was generous to allow us to use their equipment and helped supply the lumber and materials.
