ISASP testing will begin on Monday for all Central students in grades 3-11. Here are some tips to help set your child(ren) up for success.
Mr's Bergan's Central Welding students, Braxton Bormann, Isaac Loan and Gabe Erickson are touring and competing today at Kirkwood Community College. They even got to run a new robotic welder! Way to go, Warriors!
We are excited to announce JW Downs as the next Head Coach of Central's Football Program. Mr. Downs currently serves the Central Community as a 7-12 Physical Education and Health teacher, Junior High Wrestling Coach, and was a Junior High Football Coach the past two seasons. Coach Downs has a passion for the game of football and the possibilities at Central. Coach Downs said, "I am honored to be the next football coach at Central. I am excited to continue working with Central student-athletes to give them a great learning experience that they can remember!"

After a gorgeous start to the week with beautiful weather for a track meet, last night was the complete opposite as the girls were in West Delaware in the wind, rain, and cold weather. This is a bigger meet and we look to set PRs and Season Bests. Despite the weather not cooperating with us, the girls still set 7 personal records and 4 season bests. 👏
- Staci threw her PR in the discus
- Coral ran her best in the 3000m and the 800m (as well as both were season bests)
- Hannah ran her best in the 3000m
- Alexis ran her best in the 200m and had a PR in her 800 split of the Distance Med.
- Lilly had a PR in the 200m
- The 4x100 relay of Reese, Tori, Savannah, and Staci ran a season-best
- The throwers 4x100 relay of Alexis, Allison, Layla, and Bella also ran a season-best
- 🥇 Zoey placed 1st in all 3 of the wheelchair events, 100m, 200m and 800m.
We invite all Central families and community members to this year's Promenade! Please note, this event will take place in the gymnasium with plenty of seating. Consider joining us to give these students a round of applause and wish them well before sending them away on such a memorable evening!

Central Art students in grades 7-12 attended the UIC/NEIC art show held in Postville, today. It was a great turnout from participating schools with lots of talented students. Central had 7 pieces recognized by the Judge, Elissa Wenthe.

Today Central 6th grade visited GEAR Elkader to recieve a thank you smoothie in response to a compliment letter they reveived from a student. During our letter writing unit students could choose fan letters, complimentary letters, nicely worded complaint letters, and a letter to an upcoming 6th grade student following proper letter format. The owners of GEAR were touched by the letter they reveived. Central 6th grade thanks GEAR for their support and generosity. YUM!
The Central School Board meeting scheduled in May will be held at 4:00, rather than the originally scheduled time. Please note the time change if you are planning to attend.
As of now, we're on for tonight! Central HS Girls Track & Field Team will be heading to West Delaware to compete with Cascade, Dike-New Hartford, Ed-Co, Independence, Maquoketa, Maquoketa, Marion, Union, Vinton-Shellsburg, Waukon, Western Dubuque and West Delaware.
Let's hope the weather clears up! We have some golfers that are ready to go!!!

Mrs. Danielle Shea has been working with Central students through Junior Achievement. Here you see Mrs. Shea and students learning terms about money, like what deposits and withdrawals are. She is also teaching them about making smart decisions with money. Central CSD is fortunate to have so many great community members that share their time with our students through JA.
