All K-6 football players will be recognized at our home football game tomorrow night (Friday, September 20th). There is a JH game at 5:00pm with varsity to follow at 7:00. It should be a great evening of football with all K-12 players at the athletic complex together! The youth athletes will be announced during halftime of the varsity game. Let's go Warriors!!!

Did you know that Central received a grant this year so that all students PS-5th grade get a fruit or vegetable snack every afternoon? The students are loving their healthy, yummy snacks!

This Friday night's schedule of events includes not one, but TWO GAMES for the evening! Join us at Dittmer Field, as the junior high takes on Turkey Valley to start our night off at 5:00 pm. It's YOUTH NIGHT and our youth football players will be recognized at halftime of the Varsity game.
Whether you are coming for one game or both, stop by the concession stand to grab a bite to eat. Friday night, the Central Athletic Boosters Concession Stand will be cooking up SMASH BURGERS and CHILI CHEESE DOGS! This is a great way to support our student athletes and feed your family at the same time!

Tomorrow is the Central Invitational Cross Country Meet, with over ten schools participating! A few housekeeping notes for those that plan to attend... We ask that you park in the dedicated lots and avoid parking along the Gunder Road. Admission is $6 per person and the running routes have changed a bit this year to allow all runners to finish in the same location. The weather looks to be a beautiful evening for this meet and we look forward to seeing you all support this home meet!

Teachers from Central attended a STEM training at The Science Center of Iowa for 2 days to learn about and use their Making Innovative STEM Connections Grant Kits. They are excited to bring everything back to Central!

The Central Volleyball team will head to Jesup for another Saturday on the courts!


For those that may have missed out on ordering the 2023-2024 Central High School Yearbook, we still have a few copies available. If you are interested, they are $30 each and can be picked up in the district office.


Mrs. Gray's class enjoyed the beautiful weather outside this morning by picking apples and pears from the playground. They plan to use what they picked to make applesauce!






Attention Community Members: We are looking for your help!
We are still looking for community members who would like to come in and lead a breakout lesson/activity for our brand new after school program, Kid Central.
This would be a 1x week commitment for a month (Mondays or Wednesdays - one (1) hour each time). We would pay a small stipend as well as a stipend for needed supplies.

Good Luck to Central Cross Country Teams at this evening's meet. Warriors will be competing against runners from Clayton Ridge, Beckman Catholic, Central City, Kee High, Maquoketa Valley and MFL MarMac.
