TD’s will be serving all-you-can-eat walleye, so come hungry! 10% of the proceeds from the evening will go towards the Post-Prom celebration. Students will be volunteering by greeting guests, serving food, and yes, even doing dishes! We will also have a bake sale that night with plenty of sweet treats to enjoy.

Exciting day in 2nd grade.....the chicks have hatched!! We had 3 that hatched overnight and we have been lucky and have been able to watch the other 3 hatch throughout the day! We are all excited to hold them soon!
The baby chicks in Mrs. Bergan's room are making friends. Plus helping with homework if they can stay awake.

Last night, we celebrated an incredible achievement at Central Community School! Board members Courtney Scherf and Jered Finley were presented with the Iowa Association of School Boards Annual Board Award by Central School Board President Jared Funk. 🏆
This award recognizes the dedication and hard work of school board members, requiring at least 15 hours of professional development through events like the Annual Convention. It’s a true testament to their commitment to ongoing growth and improvement for our schools and community.

These two Central wrestlers have been working hard the past few weeks preparing to compete in the Cedar Valley Wrestling Nationals tournament (a very tough tournament) in Cedar Falls this last Sunday. Both did very well and compete, they did.
Daisha Allison didn’t make the podium yesterday, but battled hard. We can expect to see her on podiums often in the future.
Congratulations to Macie Cole, who earned a 3rd place medal and was 1 point away from the silver!
These girls have worked hard and they deserve a ton of credit. The near future continues to be bright for Central wresting.
The 7th, 8th, and 9th graders had an opportunity to learn about the high school experience from two seniors and two recent graduates. Thank you Mark, Gavin, Brandi, and Peyton for sharing your wisdom!
Happening a day to soon, but chicks are hatching. Mrs. Bergan's 6th grade classroom will not be a quiet room. Lots of cheep cheep's. A few more waiting to come out to greet us, also.
Central's Track and Field teams had a successful night at Luther College for their UIC Indoor meet on Friday, March 21. The boy's team placed 2nd of the 9 conference teams , only 4 points behind MFL, while the girl's
team placed 5th , just 1 point from 4th place.
Conference champions included Carson Ruegnitz in the 800 m, Declan Finley in the 3200 m , the 4x800 relay of Carson Ruegnitz, Jesse Polkinghorn, Tyce Zittergruen and Gavin Holst, the Distance Med relay of Griffen Hammersland, Mason Loan, Tyce Zittergruen, and Gavin Holst.

Second graders completed their Junior Achievement program called Our Communities. Special thanks to Peggy Schilling from Clayton County-Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for teaching them about communities, jobs and taxes. We enjoyed our time with her.

Yesterday was the perfect day for Mrs. Pope to take the CCS winners to the Elkader City Park for pickleball and playground time!
